Job Summary
The Applications Developer shall liaise and work with system/application providers to customize functionality in accordance with evolving user needs.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with vendors to customize, monitor, tune, troubleshoot, and maintain applications.
- Learn the codebase and continually improve coding skills.
- Gather information and requests from users about program functionality.
- Write and maintain code.
- Conduct development tests.
- Execute application changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments
- Provide technical support by troubleshooting and resolving reported problems.
- Monitor, update, and maintain existing legacy environment software systems interfaces to ensure that the interfaces exchange data properly and to support the current legacy environment
- Set up administrator and service accounts
- Maintain application documentation
What is required?
- Graduate of BS Computer Science or similar degree (preferred, not required)
- Working knowledge of basic coding languages
- Working knowledge of databases and operating systems
- Minimum 6 months of basic programming experience (preferred, not required)
- Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
- High attention to detail
- Customer service oriented
- Willing to work on weekends and/or after hours
- Good written and verbal communication skills
